Copyright is used to emphasize the use of knowledge and creative in a safe way to make sure the creators work is protected. It is something that is applied to someone's work automatically and can be registered through a copyright office if the owner choses to do so. Fair use which can only be determined by a judge is known as the acceptable cases in which there is an exception to copyright. As an instructor I would encourage student to have a Creative Commons License on all of their public work. This form of licensing allows for individuals to create their own license which includes how others are allowed to use their work.
While technology is a great academic tool that can be used to aid the learning process of students there are also some implementation issues that come with technology. The first implementation issue I want to discuss is lack of funding. As technology is a fairly expensive learning tool not all schools have the proper funding to provide theses resources to their students. In order to combat this, schools can apply for technology grants that offer schools funding to help provide technology resources in the classroom. Another technology implementation issue is decreased productivity causes from the use of technology. One way to prevent decreased productivity within classrooms is by restricting screen time on technology use. By restricting screen time on entertainment websites such as TikTok, Instagram, and Snapchat it will allow for more time to be productive.
As I was completing the assignment one newsletter there were many new functions that I discovered about Microsoft Word. One of the new skills that I gained from the assignment is how to split a word document into two columns. This is something that I find useful because if I have to create a newsletter in the future I will be able to use this skill. One way that I can improve on my newsletter is by taking out some of the colored columns of text because it would reduce the amount of ink that would be used if the flyer were to be printed out.
