In the future when I am a teacher I see myself using data collection surveys to get feedback from my High School students on how I can improve in my teaching. When I was in high school my 10th grade English teacher would send out surveys like the ones we went over in class after an exam that had questions regarding how prepared we felt for the exam. Based on our responses she would alter her lesson plans based on what areas she could improve from the survey data. I think this is a great way for students to communicate with their teacher and let them known how they need help in class.
Something that I enjoyed while reading other classmates blogs is learning how each of us would implement the technology we have learned over the course of the semester into our personal teaching careers. Over the course of this semester we have been introduced to a number of different forms of technology that we will later be able to use in our own classroom. I think assistive technology is an amazing form of technology and I really liked hearing my classmates opinions on the effectiveness of theses technologies. Rey taught me a lot with her presentation about screen readers and how she uses assistive technology.
One technology skill that I would like to learn is using VR in the classroom. As a future educator I want to be capable of using many different types of technology while teaching to make the most out of my students learning experience. With the use of VR you can transport your students into another dimension and make then feel like they're in a new world. Not only is this a great way to learn but also very entertaining form of technology for students.
